The 24th National Conference on Students in Transition
October 21-23, 2017
Westin Hotel, Costa Mesa

This conference is co-hosted by UCI, UCLA and Santa Monica College.

College educators are challenged to provide support for students and improve their entire undergraduate experience. At the 24th National Conference on Students in Transition, attendees will share with and learn from one another the latest trends, initiatives, best practices, ideas, research, and assessment strategies focused on supporting student success in the first college year and beyond.

Featured speakers include:

Jullian Kinzie — Associate Director of the Center for Postsecondary Research and the National Survey of Student Engagement Institute at the Indiana University School of Education. She conducts research and leads project activities on the effective use of student engagement data to improve educational quality.

Joshua Wyner–Vice President of the Aspen Institute and founder and executive director of the Institute’s College Excellence Program. The focus of the College Excellence Program is improving student outcomes.

Among the excellent pre-conference workshops during the day on Saturday, October 21 from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm is by Dr. Betsy Barefoot and Professor John N. Gardner on “Planning Student Transitions Across the Undergraduate Years.”
