The Science Policy Group at UC Irvine is excited to partner with Brews & Brains and GPS-BIOMED to present an evening highlighting the wonderful and impactful research occurring at UCI. Together, we share the common goal of better preparing young scientists to effectively communicate research to the general public and policy-makers. This collaborative event will bring together scientists, community members and policymakers and feature TED-style talks presented by UCI grad students: Alberto Soto, Bianca Ceballos, Candice Gellner, Christie Mortales, Ellen Wann, and Julius Edson.
Through this interactive forum, we aim to raise awareness of how scientific discovery impacts society and highlight the importance of communication in driving informed policies.
Tickets are $20 for the general public, $15 for UCI affiliates, and you can buy a souvenir button for $5! Please click on this link for more information – https://www.eventbrite.com/e/inspiring-collaboration-through-communication-tickets-32704911270
