Sakina Ibrahim Nominated for NAACP Image Award

Sakina Ibrahim,  Master of Fine Arts 2014 alumnus of the University of California, Irvine, has been nominated for the 47th Annual NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work Instructional for her first book, self-published in June 2015, Big Words to Little Me: Advice to the Younger Self. Sakina utilizes the book’s message to facilitate empowerment workshops with schools and organizations. She helps young people to develop the tools necessary to navigate through life’s challenges, and lead happy, healthy lives.
