UCI faculty and staff are invited to the Second Annual Diversity Affinity Groups Open House and Mixer. Tuesday, May 31, 2015 Noon-1:00 p.m. Cross-Cultural Center Dr. Joseph White Room

Come meet and learn more about UCI’s Diversity Affinity Groups. There will be representatives on site to provide

valuable information regarding the following groups:

• Academic and Professional Women of UCI
• Asian American Pacific Islander Staff Association
• Black Faculty and Staff Association
• Chicano/Latino Staff Association
• Native American Faculty and Staff Association
• Staff and Faculty Pride Collective
• Faculty and Staff Veterans

Faculty and staff Diversity Affinity Groups foster cross-departmental social interaction, professional networking,

cultural competencies, recruiting and mentoring. The Diversity Affinity Groups also serve as an outlet for faculty and

staff to come together and fellowship with group members who share common cultural experiences while providing a

space for members to engage in relevant discussions that are pertinent to the respective communities.

Light Refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the UCI community.
