Hello Campus Partners, Faculty, Staff, Administrators, Students and Alumni,

UC Irvine will be hosting our inaugural Black Vision Conference: Celebrating Black Queer Lives on April 6th, 2019 from 10am – 5pm at UCI Social Science Plaza.

This Conference is a multicampus collaboration between UC Irvine, UCLA, and USC with the goal of creating an environment where students, faculty, community organizers and activists connect across academic institutions and organizations in SoCal, while centering and celebrating Black queer folks.

I am reaching out to you all for support in publicizing the event and ensuring that as many folks who may benefit from this event have the information needed to attend.

Below is the blurb I am hoping you all may share with your communities (along with the attached flyer) via email list-serves, in-house bulletin postings (we have printed materials, if needed), and/or social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.):

UC Irvine will be hosting, in collaboration with UCLA and USC, the Black Vision Conference: Celebrating Black Queer Lives on April 6th, 2019 from 10AM – 5PM at UCI Social Science Plaza. Please join us for the opportunity to explore ideas and thoughts surrounding racial justice and coalition building within academic spaces in order to gain the essential navigational tools that are intentional and robust in uplifting and prioritizing Black Queer Lives.
