Flow, however, can feel all too rare – crowded out by meetings, the swell of email, or the pressures we face when we sit down to write.

The intellectual marketplace, as we know, demands that we produce — words, ideas, publications, winning grants, knowledge. All. Right. Now. Amidst these intensities, finding (and keeping!) joy in our research might seem like a luxury. Yet in addition to making our days more pleasant, cultivating pleasure in our work can also enhance the rigor, creativity and inventiveness of the knowledge we create.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
