Every year a group of students get together to plan what is known as the annual Raza Graduation ceremony. Raza Graduation is a more intimate, festive, and culturally inclusive graduation ceremony for Chican@/Latin@ students. Everything is spoken in both English and Spanish and students are given the opportunity to say a few words to thank those who have helped them reach their accomplishments. It is a celebration that seeks to highlight the achievements in higher education of the Latino community at UCI.
