President Trump and Betsy DeVos, his nominee for secretary of education, are proponents of school choice, including the use of vouchers and charter schools. The effects of such policies on achievement and achievement gaps are mixed. In this discussion we will explore arguments on both sides of the school choice debate and examine the positions of important stakeholders.
