April 2020 Sexual Assault Awareness Month ♥ ✚

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. This April marks the official 19th annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a month dedicated to raising public awareness about sexual assault and other types of sexual violence as well as educating our communities about ways to prevent these acts of violence. Its purpose is clear – it is almost impossible to prevent an issue that no one is aware of, especially with no offered solutions. Sexual Assault Awareness Month prompts open discussions on the realities of sexual violence and the ways in which we can all work to both prevent these acts of violence from continuing to occur within our communities and support those who have been affected by them. Throughout the month, UCI CARE will be hosting virtual events and sharing resources that aim to fulfill this crucial mission. Please join us throughout the month in our efforts to end these acts of violence within our campus community and support our community members who have been affected.
