California Alliance for Minority Participation - CAMP

CAMP is dedicated to providing service to students in STEM with resources, information, and opportunities to thrive in their degree programs. This is accomplished by creating a space that fosters communication, encourages authenticity, honors intersectionality, and strengthens a sense of community for its members.

Council on Campus Climate, Culture & Inclusion

The Council on Campus Climate, Culture & Inclusion is comprised of faculty, staff and student representatives who work to provide ongoing evaluation of the campus climate conditions, practices and policies and develops educational programs and opportunities that encourage  fostering respect, civility and mutual appreciation of our community.

DECADE -Graduate Mentoring Communities

Diverse Educational Community and Doctoral Experience (DECADE) is a joint program overseen by the Office of Inclusive Excellence and Graduate Division. Faculty Mentors and graduate student Representatives collaborate to improve Ph.D. and terminal M.A. program climate, equity, and diversity.

Equity Advisors

An Equity Advisor (EA) is a Senate faculty member at the equivalent of the associate or full professor rank who is appointed by the Office of Inclusive Excellence to advance community building and offer faculty support through education, attention to equity concerns, and resource development. These activities will promote the success of all faculty, including those who have not historically been afforded equal opportunity in higher education.

Minority Thriving Campus

UCI is a Minority Serving Institution (MSI), designated as an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) and as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). These federal designations align with UCI’s aspiration to be a national leader and global model of inclusive excellence. As a designated AANAPISI and HSI, UCI faculty, staff and students are eligible to apply for Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) grants, internships and partnerships.

Police Accountability Board

The UC Irvine Police Accountability Board (PAB) aims to develop accountability, trust, and communication between the UC Irvine Police (UCI PD) and campus community. To maintain an unbiased approach, the independent board is composed of students, staff, faculty, and University Hills residents— no police are on the board. The PAB provides recommendations to the Chief of Police and the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity (OEOD) about procedures and complaints regarding UCI PD and the conduct of UCI PD personnel.
