California Native American Day is celebrated annually on the fourth Friday in September. This state holiday was established in 1968 to recognize and honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Native Americans.

In 2024, the 57th annual celebration in Sacramento is organized around the theme, ā€œRecognizing 100 Years of Citizenship and the Fight for the Right to Vote: 1924-2024.ā€
