UCI 4th Annual Latino Excellence and Achievement Awards Virtual Celebración

Please join us at the Latino Excellence and Achievement Awards Celebración to honor outstanding graduate students, faculty, and alumni supporters of UCI’s Latinx community. The evening is especially meaningful given UCI’s status as a Hispanic Serving Institution. This event seeks to celebrate research excellence and achievements across all schools on the UCI campus by recognizing faculty, staff, and alumni who provide encouragement and support for the Latinx community and their success. This celebratory event also creates a sense of community and institutional memory of academic and professional achievements in the UCI Latinx community.

The Latino Excellence and Achievement Awards was the inspiration of PhD in Education graduate Veronica Newhart, who believed the time had arrived to celebrate the accomplishments of UCI’s Latinx community.

This year, the Latino Achievement and Excellence Awards will have remarks by Chancellor Howard Gillman and Ambassador and UCI Trustee Gaddi Vasquez.
