Wednesday Wellness Walks ♥ ✚

- This event has passed.
Research shows that being connected to and experiencing nature contributes to your mental health and emotional well-being. UCI has several beautiful places on or near campus where students, faculty and staff can connect with and experience the natural beauty of our environment and ecosystem.
The Center for Student Wellness & Health Promotion continues their “Wednesday Wellness Walks” series each quarter, allowing UCI students, faculty and staff to enjoy a guided walking tour of five of these natural resources … and it’s absolutely FREE!
The walks take place on Wednesdays of Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 every quarter. Each walking tour includes a mindfulness/meditation component (provided by Natalie D’Azzo, Wellness Programs Manager in the Center for Student Wellness & Health Promotion), and/or an ecological education component (provided by Dr. Peter Bowler, professor of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Director of the UCI Arboretum).
The Winter 2020 schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, January 15: UCI Aldrich Park
Wednesday, January 29: Mason Park
Wednesday, February 12: UCI Arboretum
Wednesday, February 26: Sea & Sage Wildlife Sanctuary
Wednesday, March 11: UCI Ecological Preserve
All walks will begin by meeting outside of “Zot N Go” at 11:30AM and will conclude by 1PM. No registration is necessary.
Cancellations or changes will be announced on our website: StudentWellness.uci.edu
