Faculty Success Program at UCI
As part of our institutional membership in the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity, campus faculty may participate in the Faculty Success Program at a discounted tuition rate.
The Faculty Success Program provides participants with a supportive community committed to accelerating productivity and advancing career goals. UC faculty have benefited from the Faculty Success Program through:
- Setting achievable personal and professional goals
- Establishing a consistent, healthy, and sustainable daily writing routine
- Developing a publication profile that exceeds the institution’s promotion criteria
- Mastering best-practices in academic time management
- Identifying areas of resistance and developing strategies to move through them
- Nourishing physical and emotional health
- Providing a supportive community to process challenges and celebrate successes
Current call is open: FSP for Spring 2022 call is open with a deadline of Monday, October 4, 2021
Future calls are anticipated to be scheduled for Summer 2022 (anticipated program dates are: Summer 2022 – May 15, 2022-August 6, 2022, with applications due at the beginning of March 2022; Fall 2022 – August 28, 2022-November 19, 2022, with applications due at the beginning of June 2022)

Spring 2022: January 23, 2022-April 16, 2022 – new dates

The Office of Inclusive Excellence will provide a limited number of career development grants (up to $2,000 each) to underwrite UCI faculty participation in the Faculty Success Program.
The current institutional member cost of tuition is $4,150. Additional funding may be procured by speaking with your school’s dean. In the event that no additional funding is available, applicants will be responsible for funding the program balance.
Grants are available to assistant professors and associate professors who have not been previously funded to attend the FSP.

Review and Selection Process
The UCI ADVANCE Program Director and Program Manager will review, evaluate and determine recipients for the grant.
The application deadline for the spring 2022 session running from January 16, 2022-April 9, 2022 closes on Monday, October 4, 2021.

NCFDD Institutional Membership
UC Irvine has Institutional Membership to the National Center for Faculty Development (NCFDD), which provides all of UCI senior graduate students, post–docs, and faculty members access to NCFDD resources.
