  Come for the competition, stay for the reception. We welcome all area alumni, local leaders, and the UCI community to join us as nine graduate student finalists compete in this 3-minute pitch competition for the title of UCI Grad Slam Champion. The UCI Champion will move on to defend our campus at the systemwide match. Come network, mingle with all finalists, and learn about the latest research taking place at the heart of this thriving institution.

Take part in this new UC tradition and help send off our 2017 Champion to the systemwide event with some #UCIPride!

  
 

 

     
  Don’t know about Grad Slam?  
     
  Grad Slam is a systemwide competition that asks graduate students to take mind-bending research and make it simple in 3-minutes or less. UCI finalists will square off in an attempt to highlight the excellence, importance, and relevance of their graduate research in order to win UCI’s top spot. The UCI Grad Slam Champion will move on to the systemwide competition in May at the LinkedIn campus in San Francisco to compete against the other nine campus Champs for the title – and to defend UCI’s two-year winning streak. Winners of the systemwide competition will claim their share of the $10,000 prize money…and the UC Grad Slam title.
