UCI Awarded the Dr. Juan Francisco Lara Education Award

UCI received the Dr. Juan Francisco Lara Education Award for 2018 from the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  The award recognizes UCI’s recent designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution.  This designation demonstrates UCI’s commitment to serve as an engine of social mobility for first generation and low-income students.  Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Enrique Lavernia accepted the award on behalf of UCI at the OCHCC’s 25^th Annual Estrella Awards Ceremony, held at the Disneyland Hotel-Grand Ballroom on April 21, 2018.
